The newly produced works that were shot on 16 mm stock and then transferred to video use free association and formal play to build relationships between sound and image that are not to be grasped by “making” rational sense. The three films are inspired by jitanjáforas, invented nonsense words, and their exuberant use in Caribbean poetry and music in the twentieth century. These speculative words mostly unfold their poetic dimensions in their phonetic properties. There was a museum of the Tibetan object, but it was really a museum of all the objects that had survived. They were set up in Lazy Su- sans that swirled together all moved on a conveyor belt that traveled throughout the museum. It was the objects that moved by themselves throughout the museum, and not the public. One moonless night we spent in a very dark ocean was so gloriously filled with stars that I finally was able to make some sense of the myth from my side of the&nbsp;world. The stars were very brightly reflected in the water,&nbsp;creating a disorienting double landscape. You really could confuse the stars with something lurking brightly below&nbsp;a canoe. In Caribbean mythology Anacacuya, in a canoe, mistakes a starry reflection for a large beautiful shell in&nbsp;the water, dives for it and drowns. I had never understood&nbsp;the confusion of star for shell, until now.
